How A Data Pro took part in the creation of a measurement and evaluation course

Learning to evaluate communication together

Progress always starts with education. Data and analysis are the vital basis for making smarter, informed, and more productive decisions. And learning is a never-ending process.

Together with other members of the Education Group of the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC), A Data Pro participated in the creation and development of the AMEC Foundation Course on Measurement and Evaluation.

With it, communication professionals aim to provide the proper environment for self-guided learning meant to set the basics, fill in the gaps, and help aspiring communicators feel more confident in the topic of evaluation. The course guides the participants through data, insights, and terminology, richly illustrated with examples and use cases. The Chair of AMEC’s Education Group, Rayna de Lange, commented that she found inspiration in seeing AMEC share best practices to help the communication industry advance.

The AMEC Foundation Course on Measurement and Evaluation will be officially launched this July.

A Data Pro: “Agreeing to participate in this course was a very easy decision!”

On behalf of A Data Pro, our Training and Development Manager Desislava Petrova and Training Specialist Todor Kiriakov contributed with experience and ideas in designing and tailoring the course to the needs of its participants.

“As a learning and development professional, I genuinely treasure knowledge sharing and continuous learning,” Todor shared. “At A Data Pro, we constantly invest in training and knowledge-building across the media measurement and evaluation sector. Over the years, we have cooperated with AMEC’s Educational Committee, as well as with universities and other educational institutions. We believe that raising the awareness of the foundations of media measurement and evaluation will benefit all parties involved in the industry, like clients, service providers, and educational bodies. Therefore, agreeing to participate in the creation of this course was a very easy decision for us. We know that information is an essential resource in our industry, but knowledge is what makes this resource usable.”

Making sense of information is A Data Pro’s mission and slogan. It represents the utmost value of media measurement and evaluation. AMEC’s Foundation Course on Measurement and Evaluation, therefore, helps professionals make sense of the foundations of the business.

A Data Pro and AMEC

A Data Pro takes pride in being a part of AMEC’s international innovative family. AMEC is the world’s largest media intelligence and insights professional body, which represents organisations and practitioners who provide media evaluation and communication research.

In its 25th Anniversary year, AMEC’s circle has already grown from seven to almost 200 members based in more than 86 countries around the world. The association brings together more than 1,000 professionals dedicated to measurement and evaluation best practices across the globe.

A Data Pro joined AMEC in 2016 with the aim to provide educational development and support in accordance with its own CSR policy directions. The need for education and knowledge sharing is probably the one thing that all AMEC members with their various opinions and views all agree upon. Education, research and analysis have been AMEC’s mission for years, too.
